The selection committee is composed
of school librarians from Kansas City area school districts who
serve 3-year terms. They read large numbers of books
searching for those that meet the criteria for the KC3 Award. They
attend several meetings to create a
Reading List of 30 books which is narrowed
down to 10. Each title is read and rated by committee members and
volunteer readers in order to compile the
Nominee List for the upcoming school year.
Finally, they oversee the voting process for the current year
Award Winners. |
